New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS) Hockey India (HI) Wednesday extended their contract with kit providers Shiv Naresh for the national teams as well as the annual Hockey India League (HIL). The contract, extended till 2017, will enable Shiv Naresh to provide both on-and-off-field playing and training uniforms. Former Indian women’s hockey team captain Saba Anjum received the country’s fourth highest civilian honour – the Padma Shri – from President Pranab Mukherjee during a glittering ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Wednesday. The prisoner transfers, which comprise of “nearly all of women- and trans-identified individuals currently incarcerated” at Rikers, was agreed upon in collaboration with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, according to a press release from Hochul’s office.
