Hogwarts Legacy’s new house badges are reminders that players will have even more personalization through distinct house dormitories, and their sense of exploration should be unbridled as many environments are available to them. Players will be able to explore the interiors and exteriors of the castle, with an emphasis on exploration beyond the castle walls. It is undetermined how quickly time passes in the players’ school year, but Hogwarts Legacy has recently shared what a rainy spring night will look and sound like.

John Williams’ iconic score in Harry Potter is one of its most notable features. However, that ambience will also need to perpetuate each moment of Hogwarts Legacy, whether it is day or night, rain or shine. In an official ASMR video, “rain is falling on a calm spring evening” in a portrayal of what players can expect their own evening adventures to look like during spring. Because it is springtime, rain is heard constantly as it lightly drips and plops in puddles on cobblestone or from the stone walls of the castle. Moreover, fauna such as birds and frogs can be heard in the distance.

Hogwarts Legacy’s ASMR shares new shots from the game as well to depict the locations players can stroll around at their leisure. Angles of the school are shown with overcast clouds and one brazier still lit, perhaps through some sort of magic. The castle looks immaculately realized, and it will likely be exciting to explore at any time of day or during any season.

There may or may not be secrets or areas that are more accessible at different times of the day, as well as in different seasons, but for now all that has been confirmed is that players’ leisurely promenades will be completely open to them. The castle itself is massive, but this ASMR video also takes a closer look at Hogwarts Legacy’s Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade is shown during a rainy spring night with autonomous watering cans tending to salvias, and one final shot shows a trail leading out from the village where lightning and thunder strike from clouds in the distance.

Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to release holiday 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
