The announcement arrives just a day after the title leaked, so this was likely meant to be an E3 surprise. Hitman 2 will take players to a fresh sandbox full of new weapons, locations, targets, and tools to plan their perfect assassination. The game’s trailer looks like it is taking everything that worked in the last Hitman title and just adding on to the formula.
Here’s a look at the official announcement trailer…
In addition to the single-player campaign, Hitman 2 also is putting a focus on co-op action with a standalone Sniper Assassin mode…
Super fans can get in on the action ahead of the crowd because Sniper Assassin is available to play now as an early access bonus for customers who pre-order the Hitman 2 Standard, Silver, Gold or Collector’s Edition. The community can expect first impressions to start rolling in shortly, now that gamers are able to explore the new mode.
Pre-order customers will also be able to play the full game four days before everyone else. Clearly, WB and IO are really pushing for the pre-orders with these high value rewards.
Fans can likely expect to some more footage and learn additional details about the upcoming sequel next week during E3 2018 coverage.
Hitman 2 will releases November 13, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
